Women’s Issues

Although mental health matters relate to everyone regardless of gender, there are some concerns that are exclusive or more prevalent among women. This can be due to biological influences as well as psychosocial factors. Though not an all encompassing list, some concerns that may be unique or more common among women are:

Postpartum depression, anxiety, or psychosis
Infertility
miscarriage
abortion
Pain during sex
Endometriosis, PCOS, and other gynecological conditions
Transitions to motherhood
Family / career balance
Domestic violence, emotional / mental abuse and gaslighting
History of molestation or rape
Self- injurious behavior
Eating disorders
Sexism / oppression

Our therapists are highly attuned and sensitive to these concerns and are eager to provide support in a safe, non-judgmental space and help you cope with challenging life circumstances.
